Yeah free flowing exhaust sized appropriately would definitely out perform open headers.

Something that baffles me is why dragsters run open headers. I can only assume at the power levels they are at, and the extremely high cylinder pressures pumping exhaust out of the heads, that any benefits of scavenging are negligible...
