My factory transmission went out after installing heads and cam, so it was expected at the power I was making and the way I was driving the truck. That truck spent as much time on the dragstrip as it did on the street, so I ran it very hard.
When I stepped up to the 3600 stall 9.5", I put it in a built Sharadon Stage 3 transmission, so it would be hard to compare that to running the same converter in a stock transmission. being honest, the 9.5" is overkill unless you have a full blown race truck. The billet 11" will handle just about anything you can throw at it.
