Longtubes will outperform shorties at all RPM's, so they are definately worth saving up for. Only downside for the 2012 guys is that they are not going to show their full potential until you can add a tuner into the mix.

As for JBA, I will be very suprised if they offer a set of longtube headers for that cheap. That $550-$750 retail number that their rep posted on the other forum is the same price of their shorties now. I doubt they are going to sell for the same price once you factor in the extra pipe in the headers themelves, high flow cats, new mandrel bent y-pipe, better gaskets, better header bolts, added exhaust clamps, and o2 sensor extensions. All of these are required when installing longtubes unless you want the headers by themselves and plan to build your own true dual setup.

The only way we are going to see a set of longtubes for less than $750 is if someone like Pacesetter comes out with a set in mild steel. Stainless is very nice, but it is not cheap.
