Default Dome light flickering

I recently have installed an after market stereo and two 10 in Memphis subs running on a 1600 watt amp. It doesn't have a capacitor. Just for information. But my real question is this: every time the bass hits. Or I have a decently loud constant bass going, the passenger side overhead dome light flickers tremendously, now, I am going to get a cap for it when I make a new box. If that might help. Just because my headlights dim too... But I think it might be a switch issue also, it won't turn on when I want it to, and It'll flip on randomly when it's parked and turned off while I'm In my home. So any tips for getting that overhead console( not real sure what its called) off? And what wires to look for? Any tips? I've already taken the dash off and wired it for a new stereo and subs, so I don't need toooooo detailed ideas, haha. Thanks.
