The bumper itself is the chrome part with the fog lights in it. The bumper cover (assuming you have the same set up as my 2007) is the color matched plastic that is just above your bumper. it comes off once you remove the bumper. if the dents are in the chrome, you just need the chrome part. I had to replace mine, i got it from here for around $300.
