Mine are 285/70/17s Kelly Safari Trex. I also have a factory 2 inch body lift.
I think from 265 to a 285 is about an inch. but not sure on that
My cousin just put 265 on his 05 and they looked little, and he had plenty of room left.
I am running 315/70/17 with a 2" Daystar lift on the front of my Ram . Have a slight tire rub , but not real bad . Just be cautious of any death wobble issues you may have .
I'm partial to the ProComp myself. The M/Ts look wicked and ride great in the mud and relatively quiet on road. Their A/Ts are durable and run well too.
After that I'd personally run Toyo's. My F-350 work truck has M-55s and they are spectacular in all weather and kick out the mud great when i'm on the oilfield roads.
I believe you could stuff a set of 285-70-17 in your wheel wells but don't take my word for it. I suggest that you go to your local tire shop and have them test fit a few tires for yah until you get the look and fit that you are looking for.
Already done, and the 285's would rub, not to mention that my rims won't hold them.
All of the 285's I've looked at call for a 7.5 or 8 inch width, my rims are 17x7, so until I can afford to upgrade the rims, I'll stick to 265.
NOW, once I can afford a 3" suspension lift, and better rims, I'm probably going to step it up to 315's. The tech and I measured it out, and they should fit just perfect with the 3" suspension lift.
