I have been curious as to how much mileage difference the MDS makes if any. I am getting a little annoyed with the "kick" from it going from hungry v8 to 4 cyl. Anyways I do a lot of city driving so I was curious as to what you guys were getting before and after.
Hi, I tried the MDS on and MDS off test for a tank of fuel each and in town didn't see enough of a gain to recommend keeping it on. But on the highway it did add a significant gain. I would get a Diablo and kill it since you have a 2010 and the tuner will give you many more value adds!
In town mine is no different at all with it on or off I get between 14 and 15 mpg in the city, haven't had a chance to get on the highway and go very far since i turned it off so not sure on that.
I've never had MDS but with the intake, exhaust and programmer on the truck, I've seen a 4+ MPG highway increase. Around town it's just a bit under 3 MPG.
I don't understand why everyone disables the MDS, isn't it supposed to be better for mileage? I'm curious as to why everyone turns it off, I've never had MDS on anything I've owned?
My 07 definitely does better in town with the mds shut off. Mine will easily drop to mid 11s with it on but sticks in the 12s with it off. Highway is a completely different story though.
