Sounds about right to me..my 14 year old GMC rcsb didn't have near the problems my 2011 R/T has had..I love my R/T, but I'm really freaked out about when my warrenty is over, cause I've already had to get several things fixed.

Well, I have had no issue with my 2010 1500 BigHorn 5.7L, knock on wood, lol. My cousin only bought GM trucks/Chevys and he had a one that had the engine replaced several times, so it just says anyone can have a defective product. Had a 1990 Escort, with tranny issues. Had a 2004 Saturn with 2.2l and the block became porous and anti-freeze started soaking into the block and out the tail pipe. 1994 Caravan had some tanny issues. I love my RAM.

To put this into perspective,
If the top 'JD' rated Lexus repairs were engine and transmission and the bottom 'JD' rated Chrysler were windshield wipers and fog lights, would that change your perspective of which one was more dependable then the other?

When reading JD charts like this, keep in mind they don't differentiate between an engine and a fog light, they only count the # of repairs.

Based on 'their' system, even if they broke their data down to components, they would not differentiate between broken crankshaft and a bad spark plug. In both cases, the 'engine' was repaired.

IMO, JD Powers statistics are completely un-usable. We would get much better statistics by getting the IRS to request the ratio between the number of cars sold and amount of $ spent on coffee supplies for the customer lounge. It would likely paint a more accurate picture. :)

If you are anywhere close to running out of Warranty
Time to think seriously about the Maximum Care Lifetime Warranty
I bought it when i was at 34,000 miles
If you turn warranty in before that, you get more money pro rated to the new warranty, i am not sorry i did it, but i should have done it earlier, more pro rated funds to the Max Care Lifetime, therefore less out of pocket

My original warranty was the 7 year, xxxx amount of mile warranty

JD Loser and Associates don't know what they're talking about. The funny part is, no one knows who they are including me. It seems that one day out of the blue they're rating vehicles which leads me to believe they bought their way into rating cars to advertise whatever is they do. i like my vehicle cause I simply like my vehicle and anything else is personal opinion. Some company doesn't need to tell me it's reliable or not reliable.

JD Power

I would like to say this is my first post.. So here it goes.

I have had my truck for 14months bought brand new, have over 24k miles on it have had one issue witch was the key fab did not work all the time. repalced the bad pad and was out back on the road. I would also like to state I just got rid of my 09 tacoma 4x4 that was THE BIGEST pile of cra*...New clutch at 16kmiles NOT 10 MILES more after new clutch and tranny went and that was just one story of the POS . I wanted to drive it through the dealership after dealing with there BS... So i think JD should make more of a focus on how manufactures treat there customers when they have an issue not just noteing the issue count.

Can you say HEMI without a smile...?
