Differential Fluids.....Dealer to do, or at home project!

Went to the dealership today for an oil change, tire rotation and asked them to re-aim my headlights...I leveled the truck and a few other motorists must think I always have my bright lights on...so we fixed that!

My question is....Does anyong here change their own differential fluids? The dealership popped this on me today and said, "it's only about $350, want us to add it to your service today?" Heck NO:Wow1:...wasn't ready for that one!

I am fairly useful with my hands and tools! Just wondering if it's easy enough to do on my own to save the money!:4-dontknow:

Appreciate any feedback!!!!

Go to the parts store and get the proper type and amount of fluid needed.

Pull the plug and insert a siphon hose and get as much of the old stuff out as possible.

Fill to the point where the fluid comes right to the bottom of the hole and even just starting to come out.

Replace plug.
