Default Heater works but only comes out of Defrost

I have done some searching, and saw that some people recommended a product called the "HeaterTreater" because it uses metal doors. In watching the video for it, there is a door it calls the "Mode 2" door that seems to be under the drivers side and controls heat to defrost/floor. From what I see on that video, I am guessing that is my problem. But all it really says is to replace that particular door with the "HEaterTreater" is very hard.

My question is this. Is the factory part or factory type part easier to replace? I know that would leave me with another plastic door that might break again...but it sounds like the heatertreater method would be a serious pain in tha...

check your knobs on your dash. i had the same issue and my control knobs were slightly popped off. if thats not it check under your hood for a loose vacuum line. best of luck
