I agree that it is a little higher than I would expect. Although I dont think the OEM equipment arguement is valid either. I got 22mpg in my diesel with better injectors, lift pump, AFE stage 2, a better tune, exhaust, and a programmer. So why wouldnt Cummins or Ram do that? I think a good CAI can produce 1-2mpg better. If Ram were to release a CAI then customers would have to either constantly clean a dry filter or constantly re-oil and oiled filter. That could also keep customers away. So I think there are multiple factors to why Ram doesnt do certain things. I think a good CAI can provide 1-2mpg better.
