I've now done 3 oil changes in my truck. First was at 500 miles with Penzoil Platinum and no tick. The 2nd was at 5500 miles with Penzoil Platinum and no tick. Just recently at 10K miles I tried Mobile 1 in it because Costco had cases on sale for $23.99 and now I get the diesel sound at start up and I have a constant tick at idle. Sounds similar to a 2000 Chevy 2500 I used to have that had real bad piston slap. Anyways I'll be going back to Penzoil at my next oil change. The extra $4 a quart is worth it IMO to get rid of that noise.

Moose612 is on a distinguished road

I have it too. Get some aftermarket headers and holy hell. I swear if I didn't know about the tick and know that my truck was ok I would think it was broken.
Living the dream.
