I got the borla dual out and I've never once heard a change in tone when MDS is on or off. Corsa and i believe gibsons makes kits that attenuate the higher pitch of the MDS as well. They are a bit more $$ but I for one don't ever want to sound like a civic...

CdoilRAM is right on track here. I own a 2005 5.7ltr. LX car with MDS and tried an inexpensive FLOWMASTER C/B Exhaust system. What MOPAR says about MDS is: "a Seamless cylinder deactivation ". THAT is tuned to the factory exhaust. Before the FLOWMASTER's I could not detect, feel, or hear the "Seamless cylinder deactivation. Six weeks later I pulled the FLOWMASTER's off. She has a $$$$ CORSA C/B exhaust now. I might be comparing apples to mangos here; but I'm not settling for the "cheap stuff" for my fleet of HEMI's

I have a gibson cat back and it sounded pretty good at first but wasn't loud enough, it had a nice tone when driving but at idle it was as quiet as factory. So I had the front resinator removed and when the MDS kicks in it sounds like a horrible misfire so when I'm going through a neighborhood or under low speeds I turn the overdrive off and it goes away. I wish I would've left the resinator on!!

I can make one of my '07 if you want. I'll be using my camera video so no promises on how good it'll turn out. And unless you specifically got a long bed you have the standard 76.3" bed.

That sucks! How often do you have to hit the tow/haul a day and does it affect your MPGs? I paid big $$ for my cat back and I don't think I could bring myself to cut into it except to change tips.

Would an '07 make you happy? I have the dual rear like the '09s do.

76.3 is the longer of the two options on borla's website. theres a 67.4 and then the 76.3 ???
