Nobody really knows what's going on. The dealers are the only source of status that is accurate. Their system is know as " Dealer Connect". When you put them all together that's the total order book for the factories not including fleet sales.
While I think the launch of the 2013 Ram is a great success the actual release is turning out to be a nightmare.
It appears most of the Allpar and Donlin info is off by 1-2 months. Or they're right because what we see coming through right now are "pre-production vehicles". Ram used that term with me today. They will have only built 15-20 trucks this month with 8 spds/air -suspension components; actually # 12 as of yesterday. That less than .01% of the January build.
I myself has watched the status of my order move between D-D1-D-C-D-D1. There's been 22 days between the two D1 dates. My D1 status today is as good as the first one. I have no confidence that my ship date of 3/5 is any good.
As you can see I am concerned. I know I've bought a pretty truck but the communication problem is so bad I'm beginning to wonder about the manufacturer.
Good Luck to all of you.
