Question 5.9 swap to a NV3500?

Hello every one. New guy here and i have a question. I just bought two 5.9 magnums for $400 one has 95000 miles on it and I want to swap it in my 98 ram sport. I had the transmission replaced about 5 years ago and has less then 30,000 miles on it, and my paper work for the transmission shows the shop put in a NV3500 HD....I cant seam to find any info on a NV3500 "HD". So what im wondering is will this 3500 HD live behind a mildly modded 5.9, or is it a doomed tranny?

There was a discussion about what manual transmissions Mother Mopar used and now I can't find it. The NV3500 is a aluminum cast housing used behind the 318 Magnums, commonly found on half ton trucks. The NV4500 is a steel cast box commonly found on some Cummins diesels, V10, and 5.9L Magnums, 1500-2500-3500. I'm not sure if they can beef up the NV3500 and not sure if the case can take the beating.

I guess the only way to find out if it'll hold up is to use it...

I have a 96 Ram 2500, 5 speed. It has the NV4500. Was told they were used for heavier applications. Now I don't know if the Ram 1500 with a 360 and 5 speed would be equipped with a NV4500 or NV3500. If the NV3500 fails, then upgrade it the NV4500.

Be patient, wait a week or 2. Maybe someone will chime in with a little more knowledge.

Well now I have a new question. What do I need to even bolt the 5.9 to a nv3500. I know the flywheel is different but what about the clutch?
