I finally got all the measurements and got the floorplan as it is all layed out on paper, now to figure out what to do? If you match up the front wall of the house, that is the proper layout for the second floor, very close to being perfectly scale. 1 square= 2sqft.

Ok, I put up a craigslist ad to get rid of a ton of firewood on the property, so while I was supervising the strangers, a gentleman pulled up and asked if I bought the house? His parents were the second owners. So here is what I found out....
In 1925 a man and his wife spent $1200 and he built the house himself. Later in life he suffered a stroke as well as alzhiemers and couldnt do anything as he once did and hung himself in the basement. His wife stayed and another lady moved in until they both passed away. Since then, there has been 5 couples who bought and sold the house all ending in bitter divorces and now I own it...lol
Now thinking about this, My dog wouldnt go anywhere near the basement. Whenever Im alone there the hair on the back of my neck stand up on end and always an uneasy feeling in the house, sometimes even with the heater running the room will suddenly become ice cold. My buddy has heard footsteps on the staircase when we are standing next to it and no one else in the house... so, apparently it is haunted, even this second owner has experienced the same.

Got a few more things done this weekend. Started tearing out kitchen walls and sunroom walls (same wall) going to relocate the 1/2 bath and open the kitchen up.
Also got some 55 gallong drums, going to build a couple barrel wood stoves from kits to heat the house as well for the time being. Also got some more of the basement wall out, so closer to getting it done. Finding help is a PITA in todays world even for pay....

Also got rid of some old firewood, cleaning up the property, got alot of trees to come down..need someone who does it to drop some monster oaks on the cheap.

I have to admit, I LOVE the haunted aspect of the house! Where exactly is it located? (my apologies if you have stated so before in the post)

Pauly, I am in Festus Mo.
Some old highschool friends are supposed to come over sat/sun to tear out all the drywall in the 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and hallways on the second level, so hopefully that will be done, but probly not ( couple gals I knew) they are more interested in looking for the ghosts...lol
Another old friend of mine's little brother started a drywall business so Im gonna get a bid from him to hang and tape... damn shame I cant do this crap anymore myself. I can still paint but I do get really sore from it, my back and neck just wont hold up to it anymore like I did before.
