Probably sounds like an intrepid with a hole in the exhaust lol

I would say thats a good price. Price just depends on the the part you want and how much the shop wants to charge you for labor. I paid 1050 for parts and labor on a ground force 2in rear lowering and a Flowmaster American Thunder (full system) at my shop here in AZ

Only every once in a while i can hear a slight tone change with 14" when the mds kicks in. Have to do some testing to see what exactly does it. But 95% of the time, you cant even tell when mds kicks in inside the cab. Cant say about outside because i wont even let my wife drive my truck to do a driveby! haha.. But seriously, it is not enough to even bother with, if you want a good tone, you wont be sorry you got a muffler just because of the mds situation.

With my 18" Magnaflow you can definitely tell when the mds kicks in and it's horribly annoying. I only use mds when I'm on the highway because its not bad. But at low speed in te city it's awful

I just had the 14" Magnaflow welded in from the Mufflex kit yesterday. It is WAY quieter than people on here were saying. Actually not very loud at all. Don't have to adjust stereo or anything. Not sure what drone people have been talking about because it's seriously barely noticeable at all. Mine has the factory duals so maybe it's different for the single exhaust.

js9234 - Did you just have the muffler welded in? If you did and didn't have anything changed from the muffler back, you still have the resonators on. When I had my 14" magnaflow and y-pipe put in, I left the resonator. I took it off a few weeks ago, and holy crap its loud and I get some major drone at 1500-1700 rpm. But, I like how it sounds now.
To the topic, I paid $150 for install. Bought my 14" and y pipe and had an exhaust shop do it. Not bad at all. Beats the $1100 I paid for my Borla on my 2010 1500.

I think this weekend the Flowmaster 50 Series HD is going on mine. Installed for $200 is what I was just quoted - keeping my stock dual tips as well.

Yes, I had it welded in. I have a Ypipe but the shop I went to said they couldn't put it in because it was too close to the Cat and was illegal so I'm just gonna take it somewhere else for that this weekend. I was unsure if I should take the resonators out or not. I heard you need them in when it's cold or something like that. Can you just cut them out and replace it with pipe?

Yes its different for single exhausts, and the engine you have, my 18 on my 4.7 is louder than my buddies 5.7 on duels with 14

I leave the MDS on, I don't mess with it. But has anybody heard of the dynomax vts on a hemi? They are supposed to be drone free.
