I have had my BakFlip F1 for 8 months now and I just can't imagine any reason not to buy it! You DO get what you pay for here. It's a solid, strong, water tight cover. On 2 occasions I have sent it through the car wash because I was just too pooped to do the job myself, and no significant leak at all!

If you want a solid, well made, easy to install cover that keeps it's manufacturers promises on all counts, I can certainly say that I really recommend the BF F1.

I must 2nd that Back flip you get what you pay for I understand not wanting to pay so much for a bed cover but you be glad you did after purchasing a back Fiip.

i had the soft cover before as long it warm out side there not hard to get them on and off but when it cold out side have fun.

Don't know about the Truxedo, but the BakFlip VP that I have work really well & looks great! You might also contact Jeremiah at Discount Auto Performance, one of the sponsors here, & possibly get a screaming deal on BakFlip. Auto Anything is also another possibility.

Thanks everyone. The only thing I didn't like about the Bak was the cost. Went to my local supplier over the weekend where he had a Truxedo on display. Nice cover, but I think I'm leaning towards the BakfFip at this point. It seems a little more sturdy. This guy wants almost $1200 to order and install, (quite the mark-up don't you think?). I'll order one fm one of our vendors here. Thanks again guys. It's been a big help.

Start looking on line for prices I found my Bak Flip cheeper free shipping no tax.

And it took about a couple minutes to install it my self.

I think it was around $500.00.

I dont recall what web site I found it on.

Just wanted to add this. I called Extang this afternoon and they told me thay just released two covers for this model. Solid fold P/N 56426 and a Trifecta tri-fold P/N 44426. I've had good luck with the Trifecta on other trucks so I'm going to pull the trigger on it tonight. Appreciate all the great feedback and information.

Bak Flip hands down---simple install, easy to remove, and it fits perfectly. Basically water tight, and it fitlat and looks great. Everyone that sees it asks what kind it is and how well it looks with the ram boxes.

I just bought a Tonnopro backflip, it's vinyl over aluminum total cost was $476.00, well worth it imo.
