I think the 3.92 is the best all around for performance and gas mileage.
I too wasn't impressed when I had 3.55's
Never got the gas mileage guys with 3.92's got

3.55's with 30 or 31 inch tires are perfect. With the 33" tires the 3.92's are nice. 35" or bigger, then 4.10 or 4.56's would be right. just depends what you really want, a daily driver, weekend warrior truck? Or a daily street dragger and heavy hauler type truck.

the 5.7L of the toyota and the Hemi are quite close in terms of power so the defining factors would be tranny gearing, diff gearing, tire traction off the line and weight. Any of these could cause a loss on the street.

I believe the stock gears on the Tundra are like 4.30's so they can be really torquey..

unless your driving a totally flat highway or downhill like 90 percent of the time, 3.55's are never a good gear match for our hemi's...I am driving now with my stock 3.92's (for now) on 30/31" tires and they are borderline too tall a gear for me (probably since I'm use to driving with 4.56's), when I'm towing my boat I want the least amount stress on the drivetrain as i can get..

I wish I had the 3.92 and i agree the 3.55 is good for DD but for anything more around town it feels modest, for what I do i cant complain about my 3.55, but the 3.92 would have been on my truck brand new.

I really miss the 4.56's even with the 17's i drive on...but I'm getting use to the 3.92's now and am having my tuner redo my tune to see if we can squeeze more out of her..

I don't know how my brother does it with his 3.21, he pulls an enclosed work trailer, hauls vans, ATVs and trash regularly, I'd be swearing lol but his MPG is out of this world

I would like 410's and a 31" tire, my 392's and 33" tire just don't cut it. I plan on dropping the truck an inch in the front and 3-4" out back, then maybe I can put a shorter wider tire on and still fill the wheel wells. One nice thing at the track with the 392's and stock height 20's, I can hold 2nd to the limitter at 6800 and make it to the traps most times, if not its almost there, couple hundred more rpm and it will make it everytime.
