2000 Ram 1500...5.2 V-8....A/T....2 wheel dr....105k miles
When I am in a parking spot and have to back out "slowly" the engine stalls....It starts right up again but will stall as soon as I shift into reverse,
and again and again.....IF I put my foot lightly on the brake and give it some gas it will back up OK....But if I just start to back up slowly it stalls.
At first it was just doing this intermittenly but now it's getting worse...
Sorry, I didn't mean any disrespect.....I just don't know that much about
this kind of problem and I think I better get it to a shop, get it fixed before it gets worse and pay the piper....I sure do appreciate you trying to help.....I'll let you know what the problem was when I find out..Thanks again..
After doing a lot of suggested things like checking for vacuum leaks, cleaning the throttle body, etc, etc, etc.....it turned out to be the crankshaft sensor......$50 part but a pain to install.....trucks now
