A programmer can and will void your warranty if it was proven to have caused an issue. RamTech works for Chrysler, he made this thread:

i wouldnt go anymore that a 4" lift if its an everyday driver with an occasional outing in the mud, if you do sereouse mudding i would do a 6", anything more than a 6, it should only be used as a complete toy.

Nah man I have a 6" lift on my truck and I drive it everyday. It is great being that high and driving the streets. Only problem is I dont want to go in underground parking lots. The other thing is I never see an underground parking so it doesn't matter hahaha. I want to go higher with it and still drive it everyday. When you drive a big truck you get used to it very quick. Mine almost seems stock to me. Takes a man to drive a big truck haha

Anyways I would do a 6" lift if I were you since the price is the same. If you need to go in low clearance areas then stay closer to a 4" lift. It really depends on the person when it comes to a lift.

I say go with a 6" lift. If you go with 4", you'll probably kick yourself for not going higher the first time.

I'll go with a 6" later this year fingers crossed.

Default lift and tire size

i am also in the same boat as this guy. i am trying to decide on lift/tire and rim size for my 09 dodge ram 1500. i had a 04 with a 3 inch rough country lift on it and loved it but wanna go bigger with this truck. after looking at the pictures provided i think i like the 6 inch better but are 35's going to look to small with a 6 inch lift and should i go with 20 or 18 inch rims. i had 20's on my 04 with nitto trail grapplers. any help is appreciated.
