Exclamation Ram stuck in 4 Low

I purchased a 2012 Dodge 2500 and have been very impressed so far. I have always driven a Ford diesel and wanted to try something new. The ride is better and the the Laramie Mega Cab is well put together.
I had a tree blow down in the back of my property and hooked the tow straps up to pull it 40yds to my wood pile. The truck went into 4 low fine but when I went to unlock it and drive off it will not come out! I have used the 4x4 other times with no problem. Any ideas what this could be? I am now dissappointed and know it is probably something simple...I hope. Other lights on the dash have come on as well...ABS, and one other? Thanks for helping the new guy!

Hmm, my 05 doesn't have an electronic 4x4 system so I'm not sure if this will help; but, have you tried to shift your truck into neutral, shift into 2wd, then shift back into drive?

I was thinking the same thing. On my Power Wagon, the 4x4 is the manual shifter. I don't know how the Cummins works with that or if all the HD trucks come with the shifter. I'd try like above.

Same here. Shift electronic dial for 4x4 into neutral, then put your actual transmission into neutral. Perhaps let it roll a few inches if it will. Then, turn 4x4 dial to 2WD. Transmission back in D. Should be good. The lights in dash that come on are generally normal when you switch to 4x4 low, but the lights should only be traction control off (or something real close to that) and the indication perhaps that you're in low. If you're seeing something else, and the above doesn't work, probably time to make dealer tow it. I certainly wouldn't drive it to dealer.

My 2 cents. Don't own one, but familiar with them.

PS: you've probably already performed these procedures and fixed it. I hope so, since your post was 3 days ago. Hadn't noticed date. Any updates? I do believe the ABS light will activate in low as well. That should be normal I think.
