I wonder if the Westin bars that aren't curved don't go to the body mounts?

I can confirm this, I did quite a bit of looking and found a few mfr that use the same exact setup right down to the pictures in their install insrtuctions. Seems like quite a few are using the same factory in China to make these. I can tell you for a fact that Westin and Raptor Series are exactly the same, the mounting brackets are IDENATICAL. If you want the heavy mount with the body mount tie-in you will have to go with the curved style. If in doubt on bracket design, most mfr have install instructions on their websites, check before you buy. The westin/raptor etc design, in spite of being a Chinese product are very sturdy, and because they utilize the upper portion of the rocker in addition to a "nut Plate", are usable even if your rockers are damaged by Mopar accessories steps.
In order to install mine, I had to chisel the flange off the nutcerts and fish them out of the rockers. In spite of the fact that they were COMPLETELY expanded/collapsed they still cracked the sheet metal of the inner rocker. It is clearly a design flaw and not an installation issue. In my opinion, welding in nuts/inserts is not advisable as their is no way to properly apply rustproofing afterwards. in my case I removed the nutcerts by carefully chiseling the flanges off and fishing them out of the rockers, then liberally coated the area with POR 15, paying extra attention to forcing it into all the cracks.
