Default Making a SLT look like a Laramie Longhorn

I'm a newbie to this forum but based on the excellent feedback from so many members I came up with another question. First a little explanation.

I really like the looks of the Laramie Longhorn but for reasons to long to go in to I don't want the hemi, I want the Pentastar V6. So I'm about to order a SLT with just about all the bells and whistles possible. I plan to order it in Copperhead Pearl. So my question is:
What would it take to make it look like a Longhorn? It appears as though front and rear bumpers would need to be replaced, the grill insert, addition of wheel flares and some body shop paint work.

I'm not sure what this would cost (plenty I'm sure) but I think it would give me almost the best of both, the V6 on the SLT but looking almost like a Longhorn. Am I crazy or is it doable?

Thanks for any advice!

SLT...

Longhorn Laramie...

In addition to what you've mentioned: front tow hooks; rims; chrome mirror covers.

You're potentially looking at a fair bit of $$$.

If you do this, I would recommend keeping a binder of pics documenting before and after - when you do go to sell/trade it in, you'll have visual proof that the work was done on a pristine truck and not done to cover crash damage.

I think I answered my own question. My wife thinks I'm crazy and I starting adding up the costs which are very high and prohibitive. Also the post from "Hardware" about covering up damage made me think this might not be a good idea. So we will go as is.

Now should I get Chrome Bodyside Moldings. ANy thoughts?

Thanks!

Have you looked at the outdoorsman? Just add the chrome grille, chrome handles/mirrors. Switch out rims (if so desired). Get the headlights/taillights. Now if you want to do the interior you will need to do more yet.

You can get the two tone (but with grey instead) or get the monotone.

Just a thought. Good luck with what you decide!
