I bought a Big Horn because of the chrome and paint scheme. Just a thought but if the chrome wasn't for you, did you considered the Express model as it would have been cheaper than a Big Horn - if you bought your truck new.

I know I'm in the minority here but I am not a fan of plasti-dipping and having everything look "primer black". Some folks do a great job with just a little here and there - others seem to take it to an extreme. To each their own, but I like the chrome and paint match of the Big Horn models. If I went without chrome, it would be all body color (except for the wheels, as there gloss black, polished silver, or chrome would work)

Bought my 2012 in November when choices were limited and the 2013 was on a few hundred off msrp compared to the 10,000 I got off the 12. Traveled to Idaho for the 3.92, center console and price. It's fun changing up the truck anyways, never seen anybody buy a truck and change nothing, I don't like the way the chrome clad handles scratch easily from my wife's diamond rings. Especially the center console crome storage lid.

The beauty of plasti dip is it can be pealed off.

I bought a stubby antenna and the reception was horrible. So I gave it to my son he dosen't care, how did you cut (trim) your antenna down and keep the ball at the end, also how is the reception I'm very interested in this?
Thanks in advance

I used a Grinder to cut. Had to grind tip of antenna also after cutting for ball to fit back on. Took my time, took a little off at a time for ball to go back on snug.

In town reception Ok although I haven't tested much, mainly listen to xm. I did head through the pass this weekend on way to ccoast and one station held up well. Haven't tested others so trim at own risk.
