Yeah actually. Lol. Get really quick at it due to not wanting to hear the dreaded "you spend more time with yor truck then you do with me." So you finish it quick in that time frame before she gets home from work. Lol

In my 50 some years of washing and/or detailing my trucks and cars I have found a direct correlation between the amount of cold beverages I drink and the time it takes to complete the task. LOL

2 hours to wash clay and wax is an outstanding time. I think it takes me usually an hour just to wash it alone then by the time I clay it, rewash it , dry it , wax it , buff it etc its gonna be a looong day lol. But then again its very relaxing for me.

Since I am broke at the moment I'm a big fan of Meguiar's and Wallyworld lol, usually take a full day to do my truck but that includes time for food bs the latrine and more beer then any one man should really drink in one day! Here are my recent results with all done by hand in the garage and I'm not a pro detailer by any means,

Wash- Meguiar's Gold Class
Clay- Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay Kit
Polish- Meguair's Ultimate Polish
Wax- Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax

Default Brilliant Black

Used Meguiars NXT, after cure 2nd coat Meguiars Gold Class Plus Carnauba paste. Really deepens the shine.

I also use Zaino. I've used a lot of different waxes over the years, but Zaino is the best. They call it a polish, but its really just a man made wax. The only problem with Zaino is it doesn't have a lot of cleaning agents in it, so if your truck is dirty, you will need to clay bar it first.

Just because a vehicle is new doesn't mean it won't need clayed. Goggle "railroad dust". Its a fine metal dust that comes off rail, railroad car wheels and trains that settles on the vehicle during shipping. I bought a 2010 Challenger and it was covered with that stuff, was very rough to the touch.
