Default 2013 Crew Cab Sport Leveling Kit

Im sure its been asked/answered already but Im looking to find a leveling kit for my 2013 Ram Crew Cab Sport. Im not sure what the imbalance of it is, so I dont know what kit to get?

I did read that ReadyLift was a good place to look?

As Yo Nadz said the best choice is the Bilstein 5100's. They are an adjustable shock that you will assemble into the front strut. They have the option of height adjustment and will give you a bit of a better ride quality. They can also be used with a lift down the road if that's where you decide to go. Contact Jeremiah at Discount Auto Performance for the best price on the Bisteins. They have great customer service and super fast ship times.

The other route is going with a spacer. I have the 2.5" Hell Bent Steel spacer on mine and haven't had any problems. It's definitely a cheaper route to go, I only paid $80 for mine. However, if I would have been on this forum at the time and new about the Bilsteins that's the way I would have gone.

Go with the Bilstein 5100's. You won't regret it. I just put them on mine last week and it gives the leveling look that you want and improves the ride a lot. I put them on front and back to get the most out of them. I find myself purposely hitting bumps and potholes as I'm still amazed at how smooth it "glides" over them. With nothing else done to the suspension with the Bilstein's set at 2.1 it perfectly levels the sport.

Sounds like the Bilstein's are the way to go... whats it typically cost installed?

Does it make sense to do all 4 or just the front?

Contact Jeremiah or Andrew at Discount Auto Performance for pricing on the Bilsteins. Off the top of my head you're probably looking at the $200 range for the front shocks. The install is super easy, you can do it yourself. Then you'll just need to take the truck in for an alignment... another $100-ish depending on the shop.

Just do the front ones, it's not necessary to do the back.

With any leveling kit you will see decreased MPG. It changes the aerodynamics of the truck.

You will get best ride and most out of the high quality shocks if you go ahead and replace all 4. I highly encourage you to go ahead and do all of them; you won't regret it.

Forgot to comment on the install cost. I paid $360 for all 4 shocks and the luxury of knowing a Chrysler tech, who is my dad. We put them on in His shop where air, a lift, a wall mounted spring compressor and alignment rack was easily accessible. These could be installed yourself, but if you know or have access to someone like this it will save you quite a bit of $$ and time

I figured I would see a decrease, but after I had them installed I drove 350 miles and was getting 19.5mpg...the same as before I leveled her. I'm going on a 550 mile trip this weekend and will let you know if I still get the same.

I just installed the Bilstein's on my 2013 Express QC at 2.1" on the front. The before measurements were 37.25 in the front and 39.375 in the rear. After measurements were 39.25 in the front and 39.375 in the rear. Its looks great and level. The rake is only .125. I installed them myself in 3 hours. Glad I went with them and I got them for $199 shipped from Autoanything.com last week.

I have the ready lift and a lot have the 5100's which I was going to use later when I do the lift. I am happy with mine and there easy to install. The main thing I would do no matter which way you go is measure the front and rear of your truck since all are a little different that way you can get it the way you want it the 1st time. If you use the 5100' s and have a shop put them in iI always like to know where I want things set and tell them what I want exactly. Even my ready lift spacer. I chose the 2" over the 2.5 to leave approx .5" of rake for towing. Just my .02.
