If you do it I may have to consider this mod again as well... It has been haunting me lately. I like it but I wonder if it will push my truck... over the edge?

Kinda curious to see how it will look on yours since we both have a bit of chrome going for us.

Well I ordered the kit, I will place them on the cab and take a few shots of the truck before I start drilling holes, see how they look, will get a few more opinions before I do the deed. I keep seeing them on trucks and find they look real nice. its the holes, those are killing me lmao.

same here!!!

Just mount em man, dont sweat the small stuff. once you drill the first hole, it gets easy lol!

when i did mine on my ram, i made sure to use rtv silicone on the top of the holes i drilled in the roof, a little inside the roof, and i gummed up the threads of my bolts i used to mount em. i also slathered on some rtv around the base of the rubber gasket from the lights, just to make an extra seal to prevent any moisture.

to add to my paranoid silicone smearing, i used a clear rtv silicone, and filled in the holes on top of the light after everything was mounted and wires up as a final sealant. its more than factory will ever do, and the gentleman that has my truck will NEVER have a leak from the cab lights LOL

Thanks for the heads up, will pull out my tube of RTV Silicone when they come in. The clear on the screws is also a good idea

the idea for most of it actually came from the fire dept, we use the same method to mount our lightbars and anything else roof mounted. we do it when drilling and mounting anything through the floorboards as well.
