Question What size/length trailer ball/shank?

My 1500 came with the factory trailer hitch in the rear bumper. I assume it takes a 2" diameter but not sure about the shank length?

Any links to where I can purchase one?

Yes a 2"x2" is the one and they can be had at any auto parts store or even walmart. I found the shipping due to the weight was making it cost more online but if you need a special shank length you would do better online. As for length that is going to depend on the trailer. The big concern for me was the drop. I have a boat and a small cargo trailer and needed a 2" drop with the 20" wheel I have on my truck. To get your trailer level you need the proper drop. Go to etrailer. They have the correct procedure for measuring for the proper drop. It's easy. Hope this helps.
