If you do paint them, there is no need to remove the badges. Just tape off an area about an one inch away from the badge, spray about 3 to 5 coats at different angels for coverage and then just peel of the paint on the body, the paint will stay on the badges.
This project got put on the backburner but I may try that...

On another note, anyone know where I can find Plastidip in Canada? Apparently it's not carried by stores anymore due to VOCs?

Pretty pricey stuff to get in Canada.

I actually found a chain here in Ontario that carries it on the shelf.

I found it at Advance Improvements (I won't post a link but they're easy to find on-line) and picked up at their Advance Road store in Toronto.

The guy I dealt with at the counter knew all about Pastidip and spent 40 mins or so going over running boards and steps with me - no hard sell at all and wasn't perturbed in the slightest when I ended up not ordering any.

It's also where I got the PIAA headlamps (covered in a separate thread). Some of the best customer service I've ever experienced.

Hardware, what if you painted your crosshairs and emblem shield the grey like your fenders and bumper, and then black out your Ram emblem for contrast. This way it makes yours a bit different from others.

Excuse me if I repeat someone, I don't read past 1st pages. I'd go flat black on the front. It's easiest to tape off around the back since it is 3m'd on there and you can pop the front off with your fingers in 2 seconds. Great truck.

That's my current plan - once I get time to do it.

Finally...results.

Before...

After...

I debated on PDing the High Output Diesel badge but figured it would look too featureless...if that makes sense. I also removed the dealer badge.

Still pondering on doing the side badges...
