Default 2011 Ram, aftermarket questions

Hello folks, I apologize in advanced but I haven't been able to find any currently made forums on this sub-forum or others talking about a few questions I have for dealers and choices in aftermarket buys. I'm still just getting into this so I am sorry if I don't understand the acronym you use for companies or parts.

So I have seen a lot of people talk about the Bilstein 5100 shocks, my mechanic friend has also suggested them so that's the way I am going. I have looked on Autoanything.com($119) and Summitracing.com($109) to find the cheapest price. Does anyone happen to know of a place that is possibly cheaper or even a retailer that is within the Edmonton(AB, Canada) area?

The only person that my friend has mentioned to me when it has come to lift kits is Rough Country, does anyone happen to know anyone else that compares or is better?

I have tried to find a forum in the light sub-forum about dealers for HID lights for our trucks but I have only come across people looking for help finding a certain bulb and such. Could anyone please enlighten me on a brand? My friend told me about DDM Tuning.

I have seen Bulldog and Diablo. Though those seem really technical, though I don't know what kind of learning curve there is to being able to program one of those tuners. Could someone please shed some light?

Again, I am sorry that I am asking so much on only my second post. I really am a newbie when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Thanks for your time, Taran

I have heard a few things about DDM, but more talk about retroshop. Apparently you weren't looking that hard because that name is all over the place on the light section :P Try to avoid cheap ebay kits as you could have various issues.

The tuners are almost plug and play. They each come with instructions and are fairly easy to use. The Diablosport trinity...once you get it set up, you just plug it in and choose the tune you want, and it tells you what to do the rest of the way.

Sorry, but can't help you regarding the shocks or lift kit.

Thanks for the reply.

I saw that Retro name once. But you're right I spent most of my time trying to look for shocks and lifts then I did at lights.

I went with the retro solutions 35w 6000K digital kit for the heads and night vision slim ballasts for the fogs. Here is some info on them:

As far as the programmer goes, I went with the BullyDog. Most tuners are very simple to operate as the tuners walk you through the process when installing the tunes. Don't be scared.
