OK, some latest attempts to resolve this bounce.
1. Installed new rear shocks, ride is stiffer, didn't solve "bounce" issue.
2. Lowered tire pressure on all 4 tires to 30psi. Didn't solve issue - made it worse almost.
3. Put my spare on the drivers front side to see if it was the tire. Same issue (and it is the stock spare, original Goodyear tire). I'm pretty sure it is starting from the drivers front side.
4. Put 40psi in all 4 tires, didn't solve issue.
I'm ready to throw whatever it takes to fix this.... but I want to know what!!! I'm going to do ball joints now, they don't seem too bad to install, will need alignment afterwards. What about control arm bushings? Anyone replace those and lessen suspension bounce?
Ok, I'm convinced it is ball joints, gonna see if they are "loose" by putting a pry bar in between them and seeing if there is play. I was researching all over the internet, lots of videos of bad ball joints with movement. Should be able to tell. Again the large bumps are dampened fine with the new shocks/struts. Just the ocsillation afterwards is the issue which is why I'm thinking ball joints.
Any recommendations on type of ball joint, usually don't have much choice where I am at (Edmonton, Canada), but any suggestions would be appreciated. Want something stiff so I don't feel any play....
Just closing this thread out. So I've let my suspension break in and the bounce/vibration has lessened. The ride feels stiffer with the new struts/shocks but overall, I'm back in love with the truck! Now time for an exhaust mod.....
awesome they aught to have a 2500 only section on this forum. finally some common problems that i needed addressed. i got an 06 2500 4x4 no lift. ive put new front shocks upper ball joints new tie rod ends. still have a vibration at 30-40 and 60-70. feels like the truck is bouncing but ive been beating my head against the wall wondering about the rear shocks in combination with possible bad tires. any other advice would be appreciated thanks again guys.
