Default Mileage not too bad!!!!

I had to make a trip to Texas last week. I really couldn't give a fair judgement on the way. The weather was terrible, on the way. However, on the way back, driving 80-85 m.p.h, for the most part, I averaged 17.6 m.p.g.!!!!! I'll take that anytime!!! This week I'm making a 4-5 hour trip hauling my flats boat. I'll report back next week.

Sounds pretty good. My old Tacoma V6 used to get 16 mpg and Ford Ranger V6 got 16 mpg, same as my 05 Ram everyday driving. I've noticed that between 60 and 65 mph my Ram peaks at around 20 mpg, starts dropping like a rock as I drive faster.

That's about what I'm seeing, too. The best I ever got was 19.1 MPG on a straight, flat highway trip at about 73mph. Must have had a nice tailwind. But highway is typically around 17-18 MPG. In town, I'm between 11-13 MPG.

Now, towing my camper, that's another story... Typically around 7 MPG.
