Default Can anyone shed some light on this.

So long story short I smacked a deer and needed a new control arm and strut on the front drivers side. Know all my struts are red and the new one is black. I have a 2011 outdoorsman with the hemi. and everyone is saying that it sits a 3/4 inch higher than the regular slt. What I was wondering, is it possible my mechanic put the wrong strut on? the red ones are a heavier duty but why is this one black? I kinda hope this isnt the case but if it is I deffinately want it rectified. maybe I'm just worring about nothing. but it is awkward.

I think you need to bring it back and tell the mechanic to order and install the proper shock. There should be a part number sticker on it so you can compare to the other side.
