Sounds like some serious weight there Hydrex! That would have made a mean picture by the way :P

Still, even with those 3.92's...that's pretty impressive.

Not as bad as you might think. Extra rear leaf spring helps a lot. I use it to haul firewood as well. I'd guess around 3,000 lbs of 4' green maple. I put max rated air pressure in rear tires and come out of the worst woods roads you could imagine. My buddies with Fords and Chevys scratch their heads in wonder, they think I rebadged a 1 ton! I could never imagine owning anything but a Ram. My brother has a 3500 Ford with the last year 7.3 diesel, my Ram would tear his truck a new butt hole.

Of course since I've had the 3/4 ton, I've never used it for anything a half ton wouldn't have done.

Keep in mind these trucks will usually tow a lot more weight than you can put in the bed of the truck, so power is rarely a problem when hauling a load in the bed.
Point well taken!

The 2500 Hemi hauls it fine, hardly squats much as u can see in the pic. It's night and day different in any 1/2 ton truck I've used. The 1/2 tons would squat and sway like crazy and would give U white knuckles while hauling on my local rough "paved" roads. Not a fun experience when going offroad either, almost flipped over once on an old off-camber logging road due to the sway if the 1/2 ton.
