When you lock the doors with the key fob, it doesn't lock the tailgate as well? This just doesn't sound right. Every 2013 Ram I looked at had the tailgate that locked and unlocked with the doors, using either the button inside the truck or the key fob.

You actually have a separate key for your tailgate lock or is it the same key that locks and unlocks the doors? When you press the lock button on the key fob, it doesn't lock your tailgate?

I'd be taking it into the dealer to have that changed.

I'll have to check again on the tailgate with the keyfob, but I have enter and go, so the key for the doors is on that little nub inside the keyfob. It came with the old school large dodge key for the tailgate.

Check again. When my doors lock or unlock (regardless of the method I use to do it) my tailgate also locks or unlocks. Everything is synced together, doors and tailgate always lock or unlock together.

I believe they are called "request switches", but I won't swear to it. Maybe someone will chime in if I am wrong.

Welp, issue closed, it locks with my doors and the extra key they supplied for the tailgate matches the key on the nub inside the keyfob. I've been carrying around this extra key for nothing. Sorry for the hijack

Fuel door is manual open/closed w/ no in cab button. Tailgate on 13 Sport locks/unlocks with both fob and door lock buttons. I just wished the tailgate had a sensor just like the door handles that unlock w/o having to remove the key from my pocket. I have to walk to the door and hit that sensor then walk to the tailgate to open.
