Not tuned, I don't think that I am going to either! That little episode cost me a pretty penny!

Too bad, hang on to it for a while in case you ever change your mind. Maybe some day someone will help you free of charge and trouble free. No doubt you will be happy that you kept it. None the less...I say Cowgirl up, lol. You fall off the horse you get back on asap. Tune it!

If something was wrong with your IAC (I'm assuming that's what it was from your previous post) and now its fixed, then you should be in a better position to try the tuner. If you have an underlying problem from the start, the tuner will only exacerbate it. Try loading the tune now that it runs correctly bone stock. Once it's loaded, reset your adaptives so that it can learn your new heavy foot driving style.

Okay okay, you guys might have talked me into it. I have a big drive across the state tomorrow but will try and work on it when I get back.

PS. It was the IAC being dirty mixed with an idle error. All fixed, for now....

So the problem isn't fixed. The truck just shut off twice on me in a parking lot. Any other ideas guys? I am getting pretty pissed now.

Right now I think that it can be one of three things:

1. I need to replace the IAC valve.
2. I need to replace the EGR valve.
3. I need to replace the map sensor.

I need any and all help I can get with this.

First off, the guy who charged you 160 bucks should fix it for free with no added charge. Hope he's trustworthy. Second, what are the symptoms now? I'm going to dig into my tuner and refresh my memory in advanced tuning section and will get back. It will be a while because I have to update it, it's been a long time since I checked. EDITED: If it were me, I would load the 91 tow tune or 91 performance tune if you have the right octane, if not get some. Preferably the performance tune. I don't know what your gears are but I don't think an eco tune would do your truck justice or save you any gas. Unless you have 4.56 geares which you may have and hopefully do, an eco tune would most likely make your gas mileage worse anyway...just my oppinion though some may rightfully argue. I think an advanced timing tune which is what a 91 tune is will help get those big tires rolling better than a eco tune and result in better mileage. Either way eco or 91 it can't hurt to try, you have nothing to loose. Just load the tune without going into the advanced tuning area. If if doesn't help then you can just turn it back to stock. If you can fill up on 93 oct and best to do a SC preloaded 91 tune

I would hope that he will, but who knows with mechanics. The symptoms are: when I am driving at low speeds, such as in a neighborhood or parking lot, and I take my foot off of the gas the truck starts to idle rough and just shuts off. I put it into park and it starts back up immediately. It did this for the first time about two weeks ago and I thought it was because I was really low on gas. It did it for the second time this last Saturday in my driveway. After I tuned it, it literally does it 6 or more times whenever I drive anywhere. I am BEYOND frustrated and its getting dangerous at this point. I almost got rear ended pulling into the gas station on Monday when it randomly shut off. Please help!

Wild guess but can you hear your fuel pump running more than usual? Could be because of running your tank dry and picking up trash or water in your filter. Maybe fuel pressure but it doesn't sound to be anything serious. Have faith, go see this mechanic first thing tomorrow.
