It wasn't terrible or anything but it left a little to be desired. My 2005 had 220/225. In 2007 they introduced the 3.7L due mainly to head problems on the 3.5L. The bigger engine had 242/242 which is a nice little increase but still not the 261/281 in the 05-up Frontiers.

car and driver and truck trend magazine classify it as a truck. Honda adverstises it as such which is why it on the list.

Well it's not a truck. FWD, no v8, unibody?

Maybe a pilot with a bed. But a truck, no.

Calling that car a truck is a disgrace to what a truck really is.

^I'm with stupid

No v8 (even at least as an option???). strike 1
FWD. strike 2
Unibody. strike 3

It's a mid size car with a gigantic trunk and horrible gas mileage.

Basically a larger subaru baja, without the lightweight, agile, cool factor.

Agreed. I'd rather have the baja.

And the sideways mounted engine-strike 4. You're beyond out!

I agree with you but I can't deny what others are classifying it as.

-lots of trucks don't offer a factory V8 (Ranger, Tacoma, Frontier, S-10, S-15)
-IIRC The Ridgeline is AWD, not a FWD.
-And there a rumours the new Colorado and the new F150 might come out with unibody design and I'm sure that if they do they will still be sold and advertised as a truck.

Again its on the list because it is sold and marketed as a truck.

It can have what tastes like manure between two pieces of bread, but if it is sold and advertised as a sandwich, then its a sandwich regardless of if its good or functional.

For the sake of forum sanity and ban avoidance I'm dropping this argument.

lol. We are not REALLY arguing the fact that it's sold as a truck, but just the fact that it's not a "real" truck. It has no "balls".

No person looking to honestly tow/haul anything of real magnitude or go offroad at all would even consider a ridgeline.

Yes small trucks don't offer v8's(although some do....colorado, dakota, etc) but the ridgeline is a "full size".

You are also correct it is AWD. But this is another reason it's more of a car and not a truck. AWD is vastly different than 4WD. It just isn't tough, heavy duty, strong, etc. It's essentially a car with a truck body.

And a sideways mounted engine?

Enough said.

Lol I agree with everything you say, I guess its like a Jeep Compass or patriot. but Its marketed as a Jeep, but it's actually a caliber underneath and no one who would do serious offroad would really consider a Compass (minus a few exceptions). A Compass is an urban jeep just like the ridgeline is an urban truck.
