May sound stupid to some but pull your air fliter out and see if it changes anything. And when you see this mechanic ask to see (show you) the new idle air control valve he put on. Tell him to spray some cleaner in your throtle body to see if that does something. Other than that check the egr valve like you said. EDITED: I forgot, if you have your manual look to see how to check for codes. Usually it's turning your key off and on a few times for them to pop up

I will try that and let you know. He actually didn't replace the valve, he only cleaned it. I was hoping that it was only dirty and didn't need to be replaced. Looks like I was wrong.

I just did some search on it and I think I saw that for your truck codes will not show if it is bad...that's strange. Anyway, I think this is nothing serious. Maybe this guy who worked on your truck will get you going without charging you any more. Give him the puppy dog eyes, wear your boots just in case it don't work and kick him in the shin, lol. I'm going to bed for now, good luck to you. Got update my tuner and retune my truck when I get off work. All this has got me currious about something. EDIT: I hope everyone knows I was just kidding about kicking him....lol, don't do that.

For all of you lovely gentlemen that aided me in my frustrating search for a solution for this problem....IT GOT FIXED!

I took it to another mechanic and he literally fixed it in 2 minutes for $20. It was a loose vacuum hose!

I also had a Optima battery with a dead cell so it was just a big mess with my capacitor/air ride/all of my aftermarket stuff that was just DRAINING the truck.

Long story short:
I am stoked that my truck is fixed. I am stoked that it only cost me $20 to fixed it. I got a great deal on a new Optima battery. I am LIVID with the first shop that charged me $180 to CLEAN my IAC valve and completely missed the fact that my vacuum hose was disconnected.

Thank you all again!

You don't know how many times I've seen optima batteries fail. And they are supposed to be better...
