Default Everyone that is pissed off about the front diff.

The front differential on the 2012 and up we have 315 mm axle. they welded something up in the front that you can not just change out the ring and pinion. 2011 and below has 305 mm axle and you can change them out. If you do not care about then it means nothing to you. But if you what to lift your truck and but 36 and up then you would like to change your gears out. I like 4:56's but now to do that it you cost more then its worth. So if anyone is pissed off about it just give ram a call. How is that Brandon now do you see what I'm saying. On the 1500 the guy told me they like to have feed back but I was the first to call about it give them a call at 1-1866-726-4636 so everyone feel free to give them a call and maybe they will fix it who knows right

I honestly have no idea what you're trying to say you're pissed off about. The fact that Dodge jacks up the truck by the front diff? Or what? Explain a little better please. And remember, grammar is a good thing. Periods exist for a reason.

I think that is a better way to explain your melancholy towards the Ram 1500 2012 Diff issue and the fact you can't just swap out the gears. That being said, others that will read your thread who do not understand about changing gears will now have a more fluent knowledge of your predicament. And yes it sucks if you want to change gears in your front diff. 90% of Ram drivers will never do this so a good explanation goes a long way for other members of this forum.

Yes, now I fully understand what you meant. Which is what I expected when I saw the thread title. That was just not explained well in your first post which I'm guessing you saw now that you fully edited.

I fully agree. I would love to be able to change the gears in my truck but with the cost of doing it in a 2012 it's just not worth it for me. That's also why I'm sticking with 35's and not going to 37's. If I have some free time tomorrow I might give them a call and get in on this. Maybe by the time I buy my next truck they'll have it fixed then so I can put 4.56's in it.

Rep points to you for giving them a call and letting them know our concerns.

I think most 12 guys are aware of this.
I was aware and was the the first 2 guys (if not the first) to swap in 4.56 on my 12.
It was worth every penny in my opinion.
