Default Alignment after lowering??

My name is Jason,I'm new to the forum. I've posted/started thread about lowering kit info. I can't find it now. I'm still trying to figure how to work the forum correctly.

I am wanting to lower my Express qc. I am a little hesitant tho.. I've stalked the forums for info on the available kits. My main concern is if anyone has had issues getting their truck aligned to factory specs??? Also if not will this cause problems for me later down the road?

I am wanting to go the spring route. Either mcg Eco or belltech. I know if I dropped with spindles it would all be factory spec up front. I'm not wanting my front wheels to stick out any further. Any feedback on this would be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forumz. I want to lower mine someday too, so I've been trying to read everything on lowering on here.

The best bet is McNaughys spindle front and spring drop. The spindle doesnt make it stick out more than 3/4 of an inch I believe. If your going with aftermarket tires and wheels, you could get whatever offset you need to put the wheel back in as far as factory too I would think.

Make sure what ever kit you get, to get the track relocation bar with it too, that way the rear end will be centered.

If you go with the dropped springs up front it shouldn't be a problem for aligning it if your going with the 2/4 drop. Someone that has dropped theirs ( Unbroken or InDeepWaterBlue maybe) will add to this if I'm wrong.

Good luck and let us know how things go...and dont forget pictures. We love pictures!

I've got a set off 22's with 305/45's. I'm not sure of my back spacing and offset. They are flush with the fender. I really don't want them to stick out any further. I am wanting to add OEM flares though.. Maybe it wouldn't be noticeable. Sigh... I'm not any closer to deciding than I was. Lol

I've just lowered mine with the 2/4 kit from Mcgaughys. The front inst a true 2" drop but the back is perfect. I have two issues I think maybe someone can help me out?? The right side of the truck in the back installer than the left side and I've noticed that I'm having to hold the steering wheel to the left a little bit.. Any takers out there?

If you have a butler tire go to them and as far as 1 side being higher its a common problem give it a few weeks if it does not settle call them and tell them you want another spring. Not sure how the mcg guys are but beltech sent me not 1 but 2 new springs and it fixed my problem. As far as your steering wheel its not aligned right .
