I just traded a 2012 Charger in for my Ram that had the same keyless enter-n-go system. My wife could not lock her purse with the FOB in it in the trunk. Every time I tried to close the trunk, it would just pop back open. I looked like a jackass for about 10 minutes repeating the process until it finally dawned on me what the problem was.

I did the exact same thing with my wife's purse with my Chrysler 300C as PentaRam did with his Charger. It looks like the RAM is smarter, tho!

According to the owners manual at page 41, "If one of the vehicle’s Passive Entry RKE transmitters is detected inside the vehicle, and no other valid Passive Entry RKE transmitters are detected outside the vehicle, the Passive Entry System automatically unlocks all vehicle doors and chirps the horn three times." I tested this theory putting my wife's fob inside & locking the door with the button on the handle & my fob in my pocket. It worked just fine - locked the wife's fob inside no problem.

My truck won't even allow me to lock a key inside the vehicle.
