I personally would not drill into the roof, My first choice was under the hood so no one would no. But I couldn't do that I have no room due to the Diesel Eng. next option install a back rack and install them there now they are up high and no drilling into the roof.
Besides the guy's here are right the less someone sees the better. Not that they are illegal but why put yourself in a position that your going to have to defend stealth is good. I was not able to go stealth. Wish I could of

To many mods to list ask and I shall give you all the information, and help I can.

That's not the issue. You're correct, the fact that a horn is actuated by air does not make it illegal. The decibles produced can. In some states it is illegal to have a horn, that generates over a certain decible level, on a non-commercial or emergency vehicle. Even where that isn't the case, local noise statutes would prohibit using of most of the air horns sold. So it's better to be stealthy if you're going to have one. Airhorns for bikes are very small in comparison to the big horn trumpets being discussed, so they are not likely to draw the extra unwanted attention...unless you use them.

Disclaimer: I'm getting old and my opinions will reflect that fact!

Hardware is on a distinguished road

There must be somewhere under the hood that's viable.

Does anyone know of an electric aftermarket horn (basically a plug & play) that's noticeably louder than stock?
