Not trying to be nasty, but is this the same plasti- dip I put on hammer handles and such? If so, Eewww, it doesn't last very well, however, it could be removed with a pressure washer, or carwash, I suppose! Have you tried "Hammered " Rustoleum? It comes in spray cans, as well as quart cans, and I've seen it applied to rocker panels and inside pickup beds and car trunks. With a hardener catalyst, for car paint its like rhino liner for durability, and has a quite unique finish. Wally world sells it, and your auto paint place sells enamel reducer and hardener. I sprayed my loading ramps and the tail on my car hauler years ago with this stuff, and its pretty good.

Its most likely the automotive type of spray can, seems to hold up pretty well

I am rattle-can painting my '96 Ram (the paint/clear-coat was peeling) with satin black Krylon. Macco wanted $1900 and a custom painted wanted $7000 to strip it and do the bodywork. I have only painted the top of the cab and the tailgate and can see fade lines.

-How can they be prevented?
-Do I need to wet-sand and apply a second coat?

I failed to mention that I was painting at 6:30-7 in the morning before the sun got to intense. That first coat also brought out all of the imperfections that I thought were removed.
