Default N-Fabs Wheel to Wheel Bars

Hey guys,

I just received my N-Fab Wheel to Wheel bars and it's a little lacking on install instructions. I was wondering if anyone installed them remembers what the mount is for each bracket. Mine seems to have the 2 bolts for the vertical mounts (drill 1" hole w/clips) but also 1 hole that seems to be mounted to the sheet metal right under the door?

I'm assuming that 1 bolt is not used for Rams? ...or am I wrong? I hope it's not used as mine do not line up, or even close.

Mine are for a regular cab, 1 step, but should be similar in mounts. I will post pics later as I didn't find much on Reg Cab nerfs here or anywhere on the net.

*I did have to mod the bars (notch bracket) as it was hitting in the rear rounded corner. So far the bars are pretty nice...

Thanks, Matt

OK, I took a few pics that show what I am using for mounting, the unused hole and the notch for clearance.

1. Install N-Fabs need 9/16 wrench and 1" hole saw with some pilot bits.
2. Notch each side back mount where it contacts the rear rounded area of the cab. That was for clearance.
3. Drill a pilot hole in centered exactly between the 2 existing holes.
4. Drill 1" hole with hole saw. I couldn't get straight on with the drill but at an angle, it should work going slowly.
5. Paint area to protect and insert 2 clips, threads to back.
6. Do same for front/rear (2 mounts on Regular Cab each side)
7. Mount bar, adjust level and tighten with torque wrench 15-20 ft-lbs.
8. Rinse and repeat for other side...

I did use 2 bolts trading them for Grade 8. Your choice there... no to wash the truck again....black is tough.

Matt

Look great. Glad to see you got them on. I like the nFab bars ever since I saw a few on lifted rams at the dealerships. My only complaint is that they wont let me pick them ip at there shop since their right down the street. I am planning on either the cab length or w2w 3 step bars for my CC. I think there a great looking step for the money and they told me they would do mine in flat black powder coat for no extra rather than a gloss black. I saw a set done in white in a 2500 that looked pretty sick. Having a true blue flat black to match the rims seemed the best.
