Default 2006 Dodge 4 door third brake light leak? Couple questions..

Have a 2006 Dodge 4 Door Big Horn Edition.. bought it a few months ago and after it rained one night hard I found the 2 back storage containers under back seats flooded.. well it finally got warm out again so I used a hose and found the back slider window was POURING in water..so I had the slider back glass taken out and put in just a straight window back glass..well that fixed the BIG leak issue..
Well today it rained again and now I see my third brake light is letting water in on the passenger side only..driver side is dry as a bone.. the water will run down above the headliner to the side post and run behind the plastic piece on passenger side and go to the floor..its not SUPER bad but I want it fixed!
I read on here about replacing the gasket or also using silicon caulk and caulk around it.. I plan to just caulk around it ..
So my question is what caulk should I use..anyone have a NAME for it?
Also what are your guys opinions on using caulk to fix it..? or should I buy a new gasket from a dealer? Thanks!

The gasket has a adhesive strip on it.
Try with double sided tape -very thin snd transparent-and put it on to both sides of the gasket. Clean the contact surface on light and body good and install it. Should fix ur problem.
If not, new light/gasket.
Don't use that caulking or silicone crap. When u change the bulb u will have the sane priblem and it's just messie.
