I swear byt the Calif. Duster....mine is getting pretty old, so I might pickup a new one soon. It does a great job of keeping my charcoal grey and black vehicles clean. I am pretty anal and never noticed any ill effects. On the flipside, I also use an "Absorber" towel to remove water and a California blade to do the first wipe down. I have picked up small bits of grit with those (not sure which one) and have scratched my vehicles. It would be best, but hardly practical, to wash the Absorber between car washes. That is why I am leaning toward a WHITE RAM Sport Crew....
