Default Question on a lift idea..

I was wondering what you guys think about a simple way to get 4in or so of lift by using the bilstien 5100 adjustables and the daystar lift kit (part #KC09114BK) I'm not sure what affect it would have on the truck bc it doesnt mess with the trans, transfer case, drive shaft or anything.

There's no way you can do that. Your CV and control arm angles would be absolutely ridiculous and not work at all! You'd never even be able to align or drive your truck. Plus you'd wear your front end out in no time.

To lift that much you need the front cross members to drop the lower control arm and then the diff drop brackets to drop the diff and correct the CV angles. A proper lift kit is the only way to go.

Been there and done that was stationed in Hawaii, shipping our beloved lifted trucks is a pain. A buddy of mine did the monster truck idea when we lived in Hawaii. He had an 01 Dodge with 35's it came time to ship it home and he put some 30" dodge stockers on it to send it home. Looked goofy as heck but it worked for him. This was 7 years ago but I doubt much has changed.
