Default Stereo/NAV Shut Down

2010 Ram 4x4 Laramie with the touch screen NAV and entertainment system. This morning my son pressed the open close button and the system seems to have shut down. The dash display still shows it as operating in the last mode it was in, but the unit itself isn't functioning. No stereo, NAV or back up camera. Any thoughts? Is there a way to reset the system?

You could always pull the fuse. My friend has a '12 Sport Quad Cab and his system completely shut down randomly but came back after he restarted the truck. He did get an update for the NAV and it hasn't happened since. Not saying they're related.

Check fuse M39 in the TIPM. It it's good, you might want to try removing BOTH battery cables and touching them together to perform a hard reset. You should also look into getting the latest software updates from the dealer.

My radio has done something similar twice since I purchased the truck new last yr. It shows that it's on but theres n volume and if you try to adjust the volume it acts as if nothing's even happening. It will power off and on but thats it. Shut truck off n restart no diff. Shut truck down for a short while, camr back and everything is normal. Same thing both times it done this. Just kinda worked out both times that I wasnt where i could worry with trying to chase down the problem and it fixed itself before I could look.
