Vararam is a good option, but between the two you listed I would go with S&B. The two systems are very similar in design but you can see the S&B filter for visual inspection easier and it is a little cheaper, but still quality.

As mentioned above don't see anyway to really go wrong between those two.

I have the Volant on my 2008. Love it. Easy to install, didn't notice any mileage difference, did notice more power. I have the dry filter, was told by several mechanics that the oiled filters can mess with your O2 sensor.

You still haven't tried the oiled?

Didn't you say 'soon' back around Christmas?

I feel they are all the same, just a matter of who's name you want on it and whether plastic or metal. Would say the only thing that may matter is dry or oil filter. Some guys recommend dry for the oil may effect sensors. I have AEM, Its aluminum and powder coated in grey color from them. Wanted polished but one more thing to keep clean and fancy! I've run the dry and oiled filter on my 05 with no issues.

I had just wathed a video for the S&B they seem like a great company and they make the filters them selves cool to watch how they apply the oil. one shot around the middle. The cotton wicks the oil to the rest of the filter. I have a K&N filter in my G* with a custom air intake. I got so much air after switching I got a lean air fuel mixture code! I had to have the car tunned it was breathing so well. I think I am going with The S&B also just not that long drop tube so I dont injest any water. Pictures if needed after the install.
Hammertown where did you buy yours? was it from a vendor from this site? I found it for 299.00 on the bay.
